Best Ironing Boards

Updated October 23, 2026

We reviewed ironing boards across frame stability, cover quality, height range, pressing surface size, storage footprint, and whether the iron rest makes everyday garment care easier or more awkward.

The feature most buyers overlook is wobble control. A wide board with thin legs can feel impressive in product photos but frustrating once pressure from a steam iron makes the surface flex or rock. A stable frame, grippy feet, and a cover that stays tight matter more than a long list of accessories.

Size is the other real decision. A 43 by 13 inch board stores easily and handles shirts, pants, and dorm use, while a wider 57 inch board makes sheets, table linens, and sewing projects easier. Buy the board that matches the largest item you press regularly, not the smallest space where the board could fit.
