Key Details
The Weaker Feedback Record
Its buyer feedback is the weakest in this comparison, and with a buyer population this large, that weaker record is a meaningful signal. It is the main reason this lamp earns a Consider rather than a Buy.
Amazon's return policy means a disappointing unit is recoverable, but the process adds friction. If you are comfortable ordering, testing the lamp and its USB ports right away, and returning it if something is wrong, you can still get good value from this lamp.
Value for the Price
The Dott Arts lamp offers touch control, 5 light modes, 3 brightness levels and built-in USB charging ports. Those features are rare at this price range, so the value-per-dollar is strong -- the question is whether its weaker feedback record is acceptable.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- By far the largest buyer base in the comparison
- Amazon's Choice designation with 6,000+ monthly purchases
- Touch control with 5 light modes and 3 brightness levels, features rare at this price
- Budget price with USB charging ports built in
Cons
- Only 3 brightness levels, fewer than the 5 on the Lepro
- Buyer feedback is weaker than for every other lamp in this comparison
Bottom Line
Consider the Dott Arts LED Desk Lamp if you are on a tight budget and want USB charging ports and touch control built in. Its buyer feedback is the weakest in this comparison, so test it as soon as it arrives. If budget is not the primary constraint, the Lepro at a similar price has stronger and more consistent buyer feedback.
