Updated
TL;DR
- Best Pick: 26 inches covers the full thoracic spine in one pass
- Same multi-density EVA foam surface as the Grid 1.0
- A large buyer base and strong recent sales
Best For / Not For
Best for
- Anyone prioritizing upper back and shoulder mobility work
- Taller people where the 13-inch roller requires repositioning constantly
- Gym settings where sharing across users justifies the longer format
Not for
- Travelers or people with limited storage space (the 13-inch Grid 1.0 packs more easily)
- People focused on legs only, where the extra length adds no benefit

When the Extra Length Matters
Rolling the thoracic spine requires the roller to span more than a foot of your upper back. With the 13-inch Grid 1.0, you have to reposition the roller two or three times to work the full area. The Grid 2.0 eliminates that by covering the full thoracic spine from the base of the neck to the lower traps in a single pass.
For anyone doing thoracic extension work, shoulder mobility drills, or general upper back decompression, that single-pass coverage makes a real difference in efficiency.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- 26-inch length covers full thoracic spine without repositioning
- Multi-density grid surface for targeted pressure
- Same 500-lb weight capacity as Grid 1.0
Cons
- Harder to store and transport than the 13-inch version
- Higher price point than the Grid 1.0
Bottom Line
Buy the Grid 2.0 if upper back and thoracic mobility are your main focus. For everything else, the 13-inch Grid 1.0 is more practical.
