The JNC660 was the right answer for years. Lead-acid delivered real amps reliably, and the alternatives were worse. That is no longer the case. The NOCO GB40 and GB50 deliver comparable real-world jump starting performance at 2% of the weight and without lead-acid maintenance requirements.
