Key Details
Versatility at a Higher Price
The DuetSoothe's selling point is versatility: a detachable seat that works as a rocker when away from the swing frame, combined with 3-way swinging that covers front-to-back, side-to-side, and head-to-toe motion. The carry handle makes room-to-room moves practical, and feedback is strong across a well-supported buyer base.
The price is the main thing to weigh. This is the highest-priced Graco option in this review, and the Simple Sway covers the basic swing need for less with a much larger buyer base. The DuetSoothe makes sense when the detachable rocker and 3-way motion are features you will actually use.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Converts to a portable rocker -- useful when the swing frame is too large to bring along
- 3-way swing motion covers more infant preferences than single-direction alternatives
- Graco brand durability and consistent design quality
- Carry handle makes room-to-room moves practical
Cons
- Like any motorized swing, it makes some sound at higher speed settings
- Higher price than the Simple Sway, with a smaller buyer base
Bottom Line
Consider the Graco DuetSoothe if the detachable rocker and 3-way swing direction are features you will actually use. The versatility is real. Factor in the price before committing -- the Simple Sway covers the basic swing need at a lower price with a much larger buyer base.
