Where a T5 Tube Makes Sense
A T5 tube is a different tool from a shop fixture. At under an inch wide it fits under kitchen or workshop cabinets, inside shelving and along low basement joists where a 4,400-lumen fixture would hang too low. Linked end to end, eight tubes give a continuous line of light from one outlet.
For a full garage ceiling, plan on roughly twice as many Barrina tubes as you would Hykolity fixtures for similar brightness, since each tube is 2,200 lumens instead of 4,400.
Value
Sold in packs of 6, 8 or 12, the Barrina is the cheapest way here to put a lot of fixtures up, and the 8-pack includes both plug-in and hardwire hardware. The trade-off is install time: more tubes, more clips and more cables than a few bright fixtures.
